Dr. James Odor, M.D.
Dr. James Odor is a native Oklahoman with family roots that run several generations deep into the Oklahoma soil.
Dr. Odor grew up in the Oklahoma City, Edmond, and Arcadia areas, and attended the University of Oklahoma Health Science Center for medical school. Dr. Odor eventually traveled out of state to Texas and California for his orthopedic surgery residency and spine surgery fellowship, respectively, but returned home in 1989 to begin practice.
In 1993, Dr. Odor opened Spine Surgery, Inc. in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to make comprehensive spinal treatment accessible to patients all over Oklahoma and surrounding states. Patient care and patient education have always been a priority for Dr. Odor and the medical staff at Spine Surgery, Inc. Although he successfully treats complex spine problems, Dr. Odor believes that surgical treatment should only become an option after preventative measures have been exhausted or when medically necessary.
In addition to his career in spinal surgery, Dr. Odor enjoys being a husband, father, and grandfather. He also enjoys traveling to Lake City, Colorado in the summers with family to play, hike, jeep, and adventure in the mountains. Back home in Oklahoma, he enjoys time farming, ranching, fishing, and fitness.
